Welcome to Phase 3 – Advice, Safety-Netting and Closing
In Phase 1, you assessed the patient’s immediate safety.
In Phase 2, you explored the patient’s condition, medication use and medical history, and determined the urgency using the NTS.
Now you move to Phase 3: Advice, Safety-Netting and Closing.
During this phase, you will learn how to:
- Choosing the Right Follow-Up Action
- Give clear and safe advice
- Explain what the patient should do if symptoms change or become worse
- Make sure the patient understands the next steps
- Close and document the consultation safely

Remember: A triage consultation is not complete until the patient knows what to do next and when to seek help again.
